All mentees are expected to watch the informational session video.
Program Objectives
The Immigrant Professionals Mentoring Program connects graduates and recent immigrant professionals (mentees) with experienced professionals (mentors) in their respective fields for professional and personal development. The goal of the mentoring program is to provide mentees access to the knowledge and network of experienced professionals in similar career fields. At the end of the process, each mentee develops a 5-year career plan and a blueprint for their personal and professional development. The program is also designed to provide bridges for recently arrived immigrant professionals to build their careers in the U.S.
Mentors are generally from the same industry that the mentees seek to develop their careers. They have at least five years of U.S. experience in their prospective careers, and many are in leadership positions. They are driven, passionate about supporting others to succeed, and possess a great sense of responsibility to see their mentees succeed.

Mentee’s Testimonial
Visit our success stories page for testimonials.
The African Bridge Network compelled me to clearly outline my life plan, in place of the general idea I had been carrying around in my head. It is akin to replacing a mental sketch of your future with a far more detailed drawing. For me, I gained feedback on my goals and what benchmarks will get me there. I now have a network of like-minded African professionals who want to excel and want to see me excel as well. I got a great mentor out of it too; We still get lunch every couple of months to catch up!
